I stopped highlighting my hair two years ago, at 42. I don’t even know why I stopped, it definitely wasn’t ideological. I now have what my teen calls a ‘natural money piece’ - grey/white front locks on my strawberry blonde. I do like it but I also still kind of cheat with the purple shampoo to keep it at at a particular tone 😄
There’s a French expression: Les goûts et les couleurs, ça ne se discute pas. Maybe that works for this as well!
